Tencent Hunyuan 3.0 Launched with WeChat AI Agent

Tencent has launched Hunyuan 3.0, its latest language model, and announced development of an AI agent for WeChat. The launch represents Tencent's biggest AI push yet, bringing AI capabilities to its 1B+ daily active users.

Hunyuan 3.0 builds on the Hunyuan MoE architecture with improved multilingual capabilities and deeper integration into Tencent's ecosystem. The WeChat AI agent will handle tasks like scheduling, messaging, and information retrieval directly within the app.

For the AI industry, this represents one of the largest deployments of AI agents to date — potentially reaching over a billion users. The move positions Tencent as a major player in the AI agent space alongside Google (Gemini Spark) and Anthropic (Claude Cowork).
